What is MTN CUG? #

The MTN Closed User Group (CUG) is a special MTN plan that lets members call and text each other for free, 24/7, anywhere in Nigeria.

Through SamicSub, you can:

4. Activate CUG on your existing MTN line or on a new MTN SIM.
   
5. Minimum 2 MTN lines per group (no maximum, can be 1,000+ lines).
   

How to Join MTN CUG on SamicSub #

Step 1 — Register Your Personal Number #

1. Open the SamicSub App (or log in on samicsub.com).
   
2. Go to MTN CUG on your dashboard.
   
3. Complete the registration form for your personal MTN number.
   
4. Submit all requirements (see list below).
   
5. Once approved, your number becomes the primary CUG line.
   

Step 2 — Manage Numbers #

• Open MTN CUG, Click on  Manage Numbers / Activation.
• From here, you can begin adding additional MTN numbers to your group.
  

Step 3 — Register Additional Numbers #

1. Each new number you add must also go through the same full registration process as your personal line.
   
2. This means every line must submit all required details and documents before being added to the group.
   

Registration Requirements (Mandatory for Each Number) #

When registering for MTN CUG on SamicSub, you will need to provide:

1. Full Name
   
2. Date of Birth
   
3. Address
   
4. MTN Phone Number
   
5. WhatsApp Number
   
6. NIN (National Identification Number)
   
7. Upload Passport Photograph
   
8. Upload a Valid Means of Identification (e.g., Voter’s Card, National ID, Driver’s License, or International Passport)
   

Note: These requirements apply to your personal number and every additional number you add to the group.

🛠 Troubleshooting #

If your CUG isn’t active after payment:

• Activation takes up to 30 days,  MTN processes CUG in monthly cycles.
• Ensure you entered the correct MTN phone number during registration.
